The client wanted an AI companion app where chatting feels personal, not robotic. Characters had to remember each user, reply naturally in their language, and stay safe and in character. The app also needed coins and a Premium plan to earn revenue, plus an admin panel so the team could add and manage characters without a developer.
We built a Flutter app for Android, a NestJS backend, and a Next.js admin panel. Users can chat with ready-made AI characters or create their own. Each character keeps a short memory of past chats, so it remembers names, facts and how the user likes to talk. Users can sign in as a guest and later move to Google or Apple without losing their coins or chats.
